664: No audio devices are listed in Sibelius 7 on Windows
Problem
On some Windows 7 systems, Sibelius 7 does not detect the ASIO interface for an installed audio card. The expected ASIO interface does not appear in the Interface list in Audio Engine Options.
This problem is known to occur with e.g. RME HDSP cards, among others.
Cause
On some systems, Sibelius is unable to initialise the WASAPI device presented by the audio card, with the result that it is unable to enumerate any further audio interfaces.
Solution
Windows 7 64-bit
For the 64-bit version of Sibelius 7: open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files\Avid\Sibelius 7
Rename the existing file portaudio_x64.dll to portaudio_x64.bak
Unzip the archive, and move the unzipped portaudio_x86.dll into C:\Program Files\Avid\Sibelius 7
Now restart Sibelius 7
