610: Can't find or initialise PlogueEngine.dll/bundle error when starting Sibelius

Problem:

When starting Sibelius 6, you may get the following error:

Can't find or initialise PlogueEngine.dll/bundle

This is because the Visual C++ 2005 runtimes were missing from the Sibelius 6.0 installer.

Solution:

This is resolved in a free update to Sibelius, which you can download from here:

www.sibelius.com/upgrades

If you are still having problems, your audio devices may not be functioning correctly so Sibelius won’t be able to start the audio devices. To fix this, quit Sibelius and reinstall the latest versions of the sound card drivers. These can be downloaded for free from the manufacturer’s website.
