603: The installation of PhotoScore has become corrupt

Problem

When running PhotoScore, you may see this message:

The installation of PhotoScore has become corrupt, please reinstall.

Unfortunately reinstalling PhotoScore doesn't resolve the problem.

Solution

The solution is to delete the MusicPages_v5 folder from the following location:

  • Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Application Data\Neuratron
  • Windows Vista: C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Neuratron
  • Mac OS X: /Users/your username/Library/Application Support/Neuratron

If you can't see the Application Data or AppData folder, please refer to the instructions called "Show hidden files" on this page.

An alternative way to get to the Application Data folder on XP or Vista is as follows: On XP, click Start and choose Run and type %appdata% in the run window and click OK. On Vista, click Start and type %appdata% in the search window and hit return.

Now, start PhotoScore again and you should find you are able to run PhotoScore successfully. If not, please contact technical help.
