396: Handbells instrument plays back as tubular bells by default with Kontakt Player Gold

When you create a Handbells instrument in Sibelius 3 with Kontakt Player Gold, it will play back by default as tubular bells rather than the dedicated handbells sound included in Kontakt Player Gold.

This is due to a minor problem with the Kontakt Player Gold sound set file. Download the corrected version here.

To install the corrected sound set:

• Windows:
• Quit Sibelius
• Navigate to C:\Program Files\Sibelius Software\Sibelius 3\Sounds
• Delete the existing Kontakt Gold.set file
• Move the downloaded file into the Sounds folder in its place
• Restart Sibelius.
• Mac:
• Quit Sibelius
• Using the Finder, open /Applications/Sibelius 3/Sounds
• Delete the existing Kontakt Gold.set file
• Move the downloaded file into the Sounds folder in its place
• Restart Sibelius.
