394: Kontakt Player - 'Key InstallDir not found' error message when running Sibelius after installing Kontakt Player

Problem

After installing Kontakt Player Silver or Gold, you encounter an error message Key InstallDir not found when starting Sibelius, and Kontakt Player is then not available for playback.

This problem occurs if you are running Sibelius using a different user account to the one used to install Kontakt Player.

Solution

This issue has been fixed in an updated version of the Kontakt Players Silver and Gold.

Please click here and follow the instructions for downloading and installing the updates.

The updated players are on the Sibelius 4 CD and the new Kontakt Gold CD so if you have those you don't need to download the updates. If you are still having the above problem and have installed the new updates please contact Technical Support with full information about your computer spec and versions of Kontakt installed.
