238: Files - opening Mac scores on Windows and vice versa

To open a score saved from Sibelius for Mac in Sibelius for Windows, simply add the file extension .sib to the end of the filename (replacing the existing .dat file extension if it is present).

To open a score saved for Sibelius for Windows in Sibelius for Mac:

• Sibelius 5, 4, First and Student: simply double-click on the file: your operating system should recognise it automatically. If this doesn’t work, open Sibelius and drag the file onto the Sibelius icon in the dock
• Sibelius 1, 2 and 3: drag the file onto the Set as Sibelius file icon (in the Extras folder inside your Sibelius folder).
