20: Error message on startup - "SIBELIUSPLUGINSNSPMLVDO.DLL is not a valid Sibelius plug-in" (Windows)

This message relates to the incorrect installation of a video playback plug-in for Netscape Navigator. This plug-in is completely unrelated to Sibelius, but may be installed without your knowledge when visiting certain websites. Due to a bug in the installation file of the plug-in, the file NSPMLVDO.DLL is installed in any directory called "plugins" on the hard disk, including the one inside your Sibelius folder.

There is no need to remove this file unless the error message upon startup annoys you; it will not cause any other problems.

To remove the file, navigate to the Plugins directory within the Sibelius folder and remove the NSPMLVDO.DLL file. You may need to switch on "Show all files" from "Folder Options" in the "View" menu of Windows Explorer or My Computer to see files of type .DLL.
