127: Encore files - opening in Sibelius

Sibelius can not automatically open files saved from the Encore music notation software. If you need to transfer music from Encore to Sibelius, you should:

  • Save your file from Encore as a MIDI file and open it in Sibelius
  • Open your Encore file with Finale, save it as a MusicXML file (if you're using Sibelius 4 or 5) or as Finale file, and then open this file with Sibelius

An Encore-to-Sibelius file converter is unlikely due to change of ownership of Encore and the lack of public information about Encore's file format.
