Input Durations
Added 12 Nov 2008 (last updated 21 May 2009)
For use with Sibelius 5 and Sibelius 6
The Input Durations plugins are a set of Sibelius plugins that allow you to enter notes into a score by specifying only the duration. The pitch is automatically chosen, typically to be the note on the center line of the staff.
These plugins can be useful if you want to enter drum rhythms, or if you want to enter rhythms and pitches in separate passes, entering the rhythms with these plugins and repitching to add pitches.
There are 9 plugins, 8 of which are mapped to a different ctrl/cmnd+ key on the numeric keypad. The durations entered are mapped to the familiar keypad keys (with the ctrl/cmnd key held down), from a whole note/semibreve (numpad 6) to a 32nd note/demisemiquaver (numpad 1), and optional plugins for 64th and 128th notes.
A PDF file in the zip file explains how to install and set up shortcuts for these plugins
Updated 14 November 2008 to fix an intermittent bug. All downloaders requested to download and replace the InputDuration.plg file (that is the only one that changed).

Barline Tool
Added 11 Jan 2009
For use with Sibelius 5
This plug-in is meant to be an all-around utility for barlines and special barlines, it has four main modes: Create Barlines, Replace Barlines, Locate Barlines and Process Barlines.
Create Barlines will create a specific type of (special) barline for every bar in a selection or score (although there is little reason to do that to a whole score), thus saving the hassle of creating a special barline one bar at a time. This mode is particularly useful if a section or movement of a score utilizes a specific barline style.
Replace Barlines will allow the user to replace one specified barline type with another specified barline type. This mode is extremely helpful if you have a score with a bunch of special barlines and feel that another type of special barline is actually better suited to the music. For example, if tick barlines were originally favored but the publisher expects inbetween staves barlines, just select the passage or run on the whole score and all the ticks can be replaced with inbetween staves barlines. Essentially, it makes correcting a bad barline decision or switching from one convention to another very easy.
Locate Barlines is exactly as it sounds. It will locate barlines of a specified type within a selection or entire score. This information can either be printed to the trace window or a user-defined log file. It is particulalry useful when determining movement or section information. Another particularly helpful usage of this function is in cases when there should not be any barlines of a certain type within a score and the user would like to check if any exist, and, if so, where.
The final mode, Process Barlines, allows the user to perform more fundamental procedures to a specified barline type over a selection or entire score. The user can hide, show, delete, or filter/select barlines of a specified type. This is particularly useful in removing special barlines, hiding barlines instead of using invisible barlines, or showing barlines that have been previously hidden. While there are not many more things you could do to a barline that are not already available in this plugin, just in case you think of something, this option has been included so that selected barlines can be processed after the plugin is finished running.

Extend Slur / Extend Hairpin
Added 19 Mar 2009 (last updated 21 May 2009)
For use with Sibelius 4, Sibelius 4.1, Sibelius 5 and Sibelius 6
This plugin finds the line (usually a slur) that *ends* closest to the first selected note in each voice of the selection, and extends it to the note. The line must be attached to the same staff as the selected note(s). The line must either match the voice of the note or be set to \\\"all voices\\\".
If more than one line ends at the same point, the plugin will choose the one that started first, which tends to extend the outside slur when there are nested slurs.
The intended use is during note input, to extend an existing slur to cover recently added notes without leaving note input mode. It is useful to assign a keyboard shortcut to this plugin.
If the plugin is run with no selected notes or (non bar) rests, a dialog will appear to allow you to choose a different type of line to be extended (such as hairpins). To actually extend a line, close the dialog, select a note, and run the plugin again.
You may have to adjust the endpoint of lines other than slurs.
Extend Hairpin is also included in the .zip file. It is essentially the same plugin but defaults to finding Hairpins instead of Slurs.
