National Education Sales Manager – Music & Media Technology

Sibelius Software Australia is looking to fill a key role of National Education Sales Manager. This position will form a core part of our growth plans and continued success.

Sibelius (www.sibelius.com) is a world-famous brand of exceptionally high-quality products and boasts a customer/user base that includes; schools and colleges all over the world, top film composers, songwriters, bands and recording studios. In Australia, Sibelius music notation and scoring software is used by over 50% of secondary schools and over 40 post-secondary colleges, universities and conservatoire. Sibelius is also a division and family brand of Avid Technology Inc. (www.avid.com) alongside Digidesign; developers of the industry standard Pro Tools (www.digidesign.com), and M-Audio (www.m-audio.com), leaders in digital audio and MIDI production solutions for desktop and portable music technology applications.

As National Education Sales Manager, your responsibility will be to develop and drive sales through retail, specialist dealer and direct on-line channels across Australia including; hi-tech music and audio, traditional, instrument and print music stores and the internet. Equally important, you will engage education sector decision makers and influencers to create and service sales opportunities. You will contribute to the sales budgeting process and take lead responsibility for meeting targets.

Ideally you have completed an undergraduate degree in music or music education and have had bona fide success in a sales role. Experience and success with customer clients in the retail or wholesale sectors of the music instruments industry (MI) and/or education institutions and government education departments will also be highly regarded. A passion for all things digital including music, audio and video - and its applications in education, is absolutely essential.
