Although I can import some general midi files into pro tools 8 M powered, I haven't tried many yet, I cannot import those general midi files, type 1 or 0, which have been exported from Sibelius 6. When I choose a general midi file, exported from Sibelius, I do not get the MIDI Import Options window in pro tools so then cannot continue with the import!
I am sure that I am following the instructions in both manuals to the letter.
Has any one any suggestions what the solution is? I have posted this thread on the Pro tools M powered forum but haven't had a single response so I thought that I would try here.

I don't have Pro Tools installed on my home Macs (for shame!) so I can't offer any tremendous insights. I would suggest you send an example Sibelius score and resulting MIDI file that can't be imported into Pro Tools to our technical support team and let them take a look at this for you. Contact addresses below.
Thanks Daniel, OK I will send an example midi file. Just tried the file with Sonar and it imported without any problems so I would very much like to know what the problem is with Pro tools.
It is now over 3 days and I have not received a response to my query from tech support. The automated response allocated me ticket ID 743888, could you see what you can do to push this one along.
A couple of the team are on holiday for the Christmas break, so they may be a little slower to respond than normal. They work through the tickets in the order in which they are received, but I have asked them to try and get a reply to you before Christmas.
Just for the record I did manage to find a solution to my difficulty. I had been exporting the midi files from Sibelius into the Libraries folder and could not then import them into Pro tools 8 M. However if I move the midi files into a different folder outside of the libraries folder then I can import the midi file into pro tools! How strange is that.
